Scope
This policy describes how the current Android version of Sensor Logger handles information when you browse device sensors, view live measurements, record sessions, and export recordings.
Information accessed and stored
Sensor Logger accesses sensors reported by Android, such as the accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor, where available. It reads sensor information including names, types, vendors, versions, resolution, maximum range, power estimates, minimum delays, reporting modes, and buffer capacity.
When you monitor a sensor, the app processes its measurement values, timestamps, and reported accuracy to show live readings and charts. Recent live readings are held in memory.
When you start a recording, the app saves the selected sensor readings on your device. Saved information includes session identifiers, the session name you enter, recording dates, duration, sample counts, interruption status, sensor identifiers and details, measurement values, units, accuracy, UTC timestamps, monotonic timestamps, and elapsed time. Session names may contain personal information if you choose to enter it.
The app also stores your sampling-rate and chart-window preferences locally. It does not require an account.
Purposes
The app uses this information to list available sensors, display their capabilities, show live measurements and charts, record selected streams, recover interrupted recordings, reopen saved sessions, and export samples as CSV files. Preferences are used to remember your selected settings.
Recording operates while the app is in the foreground. Leaving the foreground stops capture and saves the session as interrupted. Freezing a chart does not stop an active recording.
Collection, transmission, and sharing
The inspected implementation processes sensor information locally and saves recordings in the app's private internal storage. It does not implement uploads of recordings or settings to the developer, a developer-operated server, or an analytics service.
Although the Android manifest declares Internet permission, the inspected application does not implement network transmission of sensor data. No advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting SDK was identified. The identified libraries support the interface and local application operation.
The app does not implement selling data or sharing it with advertisers.
Exports and Android backup
Exporting is optional and initiated by you. The app uses Android's document picker to let you choose where to save a CSV copy. The export contains the recorded samples, including sensor identifiers, names and types, timestamps, elapsed time, values, units, and accuracy.
A destination you choose may be local storage or a document provider, including a cloud storage provider available on your device. A provider receiving an export handles that copy under its own practices and policies. Deleting the original recording in Sensor Logger does not delete exported copies.
The app enables Android's backup capability. Depending on Android, your device settings, and your backup provider, app files and preferences may be included in system-managed backup or device transfer. Those copies are handled by the relevant system or provider.
Security
Recordings and preferences are stored using Android's app-private storage mechanisms. The inspected source does not implement additional application-level encryption for recording files. Protection of exports and backups depends on the destination, provider, and device settings. No storage or transfer method can guarantee complete security.
Retention and deletion
Saved recordings remain in the app's storage until you delete them or the app's local data is removed. The implementation does not set an automatic expiration period for recordings. Preferences remain until changed or app data is cleared.
You can delete a saved recording using the app's deletion control. This removes its saved sample file and session metadata from app storage. You can also use Android's app-data controls to clear local app data. Exported files and system-managed backups must be managed separately through their storage destination or provider.
For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. The inspected app does not provide a server-side account or recording database for the developer to delete, and the developer cannot remotely remove recordings stored only on your device or copies held by your chosen providers.
Children's privacy
Sensor Logger is described as a general device-sensor tool. A specific intended age range has not been established in the supplied information. The inspected app does not implement accounts, advertising, or a service that receives children's personal information. Privacy concerns involving a child may be sent to the privacy contact below.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to Sensor Logger's features or information-handling practices. Review the current policy when using an updated version of the app.
